Dr. Chad J. Mattila, Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Chad Mattila is a Chiropractic Physician and he founded Northwest Spine and Pain Center in 2007. He is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University and holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree as well as a bachelor’s degree in human biology. Dr. Chad is passionate about natural health care especially focused on musculoskeletal disorders. He prefers a hands-on approach to treating vertebral and other joint misalignments and altered joint motion. As an adolescent, Dr. Chad had a strong interest in health care but was undecided on a specialty. At age 16 he was involved in a motor vehicle collision when he did not see a car that was stopped on the highway waiting to make a left-hand turn. After this accident, he went into his Optometrist for evaluation and testing due to this fact he was concerned about possible visual problems. At this time, he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosis which is a degenerative eye disorder that leads eventually to blindness. After much consideration, he decided on pursuing a career in Chiropractic which relies on the hands and fingers to find misalignments in the spine and extremities and manipulating them back into place with quick thrusts of the hands.
"I love this ability to positively affect patients’ lives by reducing pain and improving their ability to live fulfilling, unrestricted lives." -Dr. Chad
